Stigmata

Stigmata (1999) is about an ordinary young woman (Patricia Arquette) who is affected by mysterious wounds called Stigmata. When a Catholic Priest comes to investigate the so called "miracle", he discovers this woman may be possessed by someone...or something...and a message originating from the time of Jesus Christ.

Now this is not a movie about Christians or Jesus, it’s about Patricia Arquette and the unbelievably beautiful effects.

I (Emelie) first saw this a few months ago and Elin has loved it for years. Its genius made, the way everything is done and ties together are so artistically stunning. There are scenes when you just get blown away, and not just by how gorgeous Patricia is but her acting really shows here as well. That is one woman who wears blood without looking cheesy.

While watching Elin of course mentioned her love for Patricia's teeth. Just thought I should mention that.

We think this is a movie you just have to see to understand how brilliant it really is. So if you see any movie this weekend you should definitely consider letting it be Stigmata. You won't be sorry.

It has gotten a whooping (yes that is sarcastically written) 6/10 at imdb.com. I say that is a bit low.
So we give it a 7/10
