Cold Prey/Midsummer

Cold prey (Fritt Vilt or Kallt byte), 2006, is a Norwegian horror movie. Yes we know it’s a very odd thing to say. It's about a group of people with very funny names such as Ingunn, Jannicke and Morten-Tobias. After a snowboard accident Morten breaks his leg and they (of course) take shelter in an abandoned hotel. They party like they are alone to very old and scary schlager music. But guess what, they are not alone...
There is a scary man who has a hobby of killing people with his ice pick. This of course is not very good.

We LOVE this movie. It is very nicely shot and the acting is not too bad for Norwegian people (they are the best movie makers in Scandinavia along with Denmark) when they don't say silly things like Torsk and dreit.
Ingrid Bolsø Berdal who play Jannicke is very good eye candy for us that night. The other funny part was Helene who made her own commentator track. She was hilarious and maybe a bit tired. So now we will make our own version with a puppet show made from Elin's socks. Which says suck my toes on them...

We give this incredibly awesome movie a 8/10

...and now for some Danish loving...

Midsummer, 2
003, is about a brother and a couple of friends who after a friend and sister's suicide go to Sweden for a traditional vacation that they have done for ages. Yet is doesn't turn out like they thought it would. The brother to the girl who killed herself starts receiving messages from the other side. Believing it is his sister.
Surprise, surprise they were wrong.

We really enjoyed this movie. We did not like the horror effects as they actually made us jump a couple of times. And the scary baby laughter was also were scary.
We loved that one of our favorite Swedish actresses was in it, Tuva Novotny. She is not only very nice eye candy but the girl can act as well.

We give this movie a chocolate bar and a shot of hembränt.
..oh and 7.5/10

Another Danish horror movie.
Old - maybe not so scary anymore - but it worked for me at that time.
